In addition to their film licensing activities over the last ten years, Jackson and Shapiro Jackson served as Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer and Vice President Production and Acquisitions, respectively, of Curb/Musifilm whose partners included Universal Pictures. Amongst other things, Curb/Musifilm developed and co-produced "sex, lies and videotape" and maintains an equity interest in that picture.
In 1990 Jackson negotiated a multiple picture production deal with RCA/Columbia (ultimately Columbia/Tristar) where he and/or Shapiro Jackson produced features with Morgan Mason ("sex, lies and videotape"), John Hardy ("Ocean's Eleven," "Eric Brockovich") and Jason Clark ("Stuart Little"). They have also recently produced several films which were financed through foreign pre-sales and currently have several projects in development.
Further, both Jackson and Shapiro Jackson are attorneys specializing in the area of Entertainment. Prior to establishing and building Curb/Esquire Films, Jackson served as an attorney at Capitol Records and was then recruited by MCA Records where he served as the Vice President of Business Affairs. Thereafter, Jackson went into the private practice of law where he represented recording artists, record and film producers and film distribution companies. Shapiro Jackson began her career as an in-house attorney for a production/distribution company where she dealt in all aspects of film production and distribution, and where she first established her strong relationships in the international film community.
At Showcase, Teresa Dokey successfully manages the worldwide licensing department in all media. Dokey's many years of experience in both international and domestic distribution, along with her relationships with the top buyers worldwide, help to set Showcase apart from other independents. Scott Bedno, Showcase's Director of International Sales, is formerly of Paragon Film Group and The Gordon Steele Company and adds another strong dimension to the company's impressive sales team. AFMA and foreign sales veteran Leslee Allmon oversees all aspects of delivery and Bruce J. Livingston heads Showcase's financial department.

The company believes that knowing the market and what the buyers are looking for are key elements in producing and licensing successful motion pictures and other programming with worldwide appeal. Showcase attributes its success in attracting quality product to its strong international relationships, its aggressive salesmanship, its creative marketing abilities and its reputation for accurately reporting sales and paying its producers promptly.
