This ultra dark shocker opens in tragedy when Olive (HEATHER GRAHAM "Mrs. Parker & The Roundtable, " "Drug Store Cowboy," "Diggstown"), a beautiful young woman, watches in terror as her husband first kills her lover and then kills himself.
Olive's life becomes increasingly traumatic when she finds herself the victim of a relentless stalker -- a shadowy figure who appears in the night, ruthlessly assaulting her without warning and then disappearing without a trace.
Olive's desperate pleas for help go unheeded by everyone, including the police, and even her best friend Pearl (LISA ZANE "Bad Influence") dismisses her fears as mere paranoia. It is not until they visit the battered Olive in the hospital that she finally gets their attention. She reveals one possible suspect to police detective Conrad (RUSTAM BRANAMAN "Troublebound") . . . her late husband's brother, Rick, who mysteriously vanished after the double murder/suicide.
Olive finds an escape from her nightmare in a series of sexual escapades which fill her emotional needs. But these encounters and the continuing death threats just cause Olive's life to spin more uncontrollably into a world of terror and alienation.
In an ironic turn of events, Olive's delusional world is unraveled as her Toughguy is shockingly revealed.
