When a private investigator, Derian (REBECCA DEMORNAY "Risky Business," "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle"), is hired by a jealous wife Anthea (DANA Delany "Tombstone," "Exit to Eden," TV's "China Beach") to uncover her husband Michael's (KIEFER SUTHERLAND "Few Good Men," "Young Guns," "Flatliners") suspected infidelity, Derian uncovers much more than she bargained for.
After following Michael for a few days, Derian quickly determines that he is a loyal husband who is trying to hang on to a failing marriage. But Anthea is not convinced. In order to tempt her husband's fidelity, she insists that Derian actually try to entice Michael into having an affair.
As soon as beautiful Derian enters the picture, Michael realizes that he is no longer in love with his wife, but rather the woman his wife once was. Now, suddenly, the seductress becomes the seduced. Intrigued by Michael's honesty and touched by his vulnerability - and despite Anthea's continuous warnings about her husbands dark side - Derian falls hard for Michael.
Still, when a frantic Anthea calls Derian because Michael has gone crazy with rage and attacked her, Derian rushes to her aid. Upon arrival, Derian finds a beaten Anthea, a dead Michael and a swarm of police with Anthea pointing an accusing finger at Derian. Has Derian simply been a pawn in Michael and Anthea's criminal plan of deception and embezzlement all along?
Now, alone and with time running out, Derian embarks on a mission to prove her innocence and to stop Michael and Anthea... before it is too late.
