Kevin Gower (MICHAEL RAPAPORT "Copland," "Metro," "Mighty Aphrodite," "True Romance," "Palmetto") and Deeann Emory (CHRISTINE TAYLOR "The Wedding Singer," "The Craft," "The Brady Bunch Movie") are a perfect couple onthe threshold of marriage. One afternoon, as Kevin is leaving a party at the local country club, a tough wiseguy named Max (CHRISTOPER WALKEN "Pulp Fiction," "Suicide Kinds," "True Romance," Academy Award winner "The Deer Hunter") "assists" Kevin into a waiting limousine which delivers Kevin to a meeting with Sal Fortuna (ROBERT FORESTER, Academy Award nominee "Jackie Brown") and his right hand men Nicky (PAUL SCHULZE "Clockers," "The Unbelievable Truth," "Hand Gun") and Anthony (SAUL STEIN "Money Train," "He Got Game," "Laws of Gravity").
Kevin is bewildered when Sal informs him that he is his biological father, a minor point that Kevin's mother Madge (NANCY ALLEN "Out of Sight," "RoboCop 1, 2, and 3," "Dressed To Kill," "Carrie") wanted hidden from her son. Sal, having decided to quit the rackets, and in a bit of trouble with a "business associate", thought that now might be a good time to meet his son. The two are barely acquainted when an explosion rocks the parking lot, and Sal's car - complete with Sal init - comes raining down in pieces.
The next day, Kevin attempts without much success to explain his prior disappearance to his girlfriend Deanne. Meanwhile, Sal's girlfriend, Wendy (JAMIE ANDERSON "Sarah's Life," "Lovers and Liars," "Dish Dogs") accompanied by Max, arrive at Kevin's office to insist that Kevin join them at Sal's memorial service.
Max, Wendy, Nicky and Anthony explain to Kevin that as Sal's son, he may be the next target for Sal's enemy and suggest that they use Kevin as bait to catch the vicious mobster. Kevin refuses this figurehead position, for he is already in hot water with Deeann and behind schedule at work. However, they manage to convince Kevin by alluding to a small inheritance of a half million dollars that will come Kevin's way if he cooperates. They explain that for his own protection, Kevin will have to "kiss Toldedo goodbye" for a few days and stick close to them. As all eyes stare at Kevin, he hands over the finer points of negotiating Sal's estate to Sal's lawyer, Vince (PAUL BEN VICTOR "Maximum Risk," "True Romanace," "Metro," "Tombstone").
Kevin's cooperation is sorely tested when some very determined killers make killing him their main goal in life. Fortunately for Kevin, Sal's friends want Kevin alive and are able to dispatch killers as they cross Kevin's path.
Soon, Kevin finds himself running for his life, not knowing whom to trust and who may have double-crossed his father all along. Kevin miraculously eludes, overcomes, and with some "unexpected" help, defeats the killers who shockingly include some unforeseen traitors. Kevin emerges unscathed and with a newfound appreciation for his freedom, his finance and their new life.
